	I had RK in the early 90’s. Does this make Lasik impossible?

I am the only eye surgeon in the USA who is commonly and accurately enhancing post-RK patients. The reason is multifold, as follows:

1. I did my Cornea Fellowship under the “Father of American Refractive Surgery, George Waring, who was the surgeon who conducted the 1st FDA study of refractive surgery, that found that RK is never stable, but progressive, so eventually those people become farsighted and can’t see up close
2. I have the only practice in the USA that exclusively performs LASEK, not LASIK
3. You can’t enhance RK with LASIK or you will create “pizza slices” in your cornea which will fall out
4. The only safe way to enhance RK is with LASEK
5. Therefore, I have performed more of these procedures than any other surgeon in the US
6. I published a paper describing this technique with one of my Fellows about a decade ago
