Help Ukraine Jobs

ATTENTION: This document started out as a job post, but got expanded as people started to ask me questions about my background & why I’m helping Ukrainians so much because I’m a Chinese-American, born in NYC. This lead to my explanation about how I first went to Ukraine on a “marriage tour” and how I’ve had serious girlfriends from Russia, and am still single, seeking a nice girl to marry, & why I’m leaning towards Eastern European women

So please understand how this document evolved to be so long, and please don’t criticize me or make fun of me for this varied content. I have a “thick skin” because I’m very confident, so am not “hurt” by such comments. I just view them as unhelpful & a distracting waste of time. Although not totally useless, because to be truthful, some of the added length is to address these criticisms 😉

Please therefore feel free to read only those parts which are relevant to you, & skip those that are not. But to get a more complete & accurate sense of who I am, what I’m seeking, & why I’m seeking this, it would be very helpful if you at least skimmed the less relevant parts (dependent, of course, on your degree of English fluency)

Introduction:

I’m a very successful , somewhat famous eye surgeon, born & living in NYC with a clinic in Manhattan on Park Avenue. For more information about my clinic, please visit www.ParkAvenueLASEK.com & for more information about me, please visit Instagram @ParkAvenueLASEK

I have 3 needs in my life, which can be met by anyone, not only someone from Ukraine. But because of my 15 year commitment to help Ukraine, I think it’d be even better if any or all of these opportunities would be taken by a Ukrainian, because then I’d also be rescuing a war refugee, internally displaced Ukrainian, or someone in Ukraine who’s still in their native city.

Tragically, because Putin is more deranged than anyone predicted, & doesn’t care how much suffering he inflicts (including on his own people) to try to recreate a new “greater Russia” (restored empire) to burnish his “legacy”, Ukraine will be in ruins for years to come. This  makes me cry, because I’ve visited every major Ukrainian city over the past decade. I  was invited to teach eye surgeons there about LASEK, which is a newer, safer, non-cutting version of LASIK, because I helped invent LASEK when I was at Harvard

Therefore, most smart people, unless they’re “super patriots”  have sadly concluded that they’ll never have the successful life they want if they remain or return to Ukraine

My parents both fled China when the Communists took over, met in NYC, & achieved “The American Dream”. My mom got her Master’s degree in social work, & my dad became a Professor of Neuroradiology at Columbia University, setting up the Chynn Foundation at his retirement, which has donated $500,000 (with $500,000 more to donate) for medical research

The 3 “open positions” for a lack of a better term are:

  1. I need to hire a second receptionist for my office & it’d be better if she had some “personal assistant” experience, because my current secretary always “forgets” to remind the staff when I need to get out on time, even though I always put my personal schedule in our work calendar so she can’t miss it, so I’m missing about 50 social events per year (which is one reason I’m still single)
  2. I need to hire another eye surgeon to work for me, and ideally take over my clinic, as I want to semi-retire as I’ve been working too hard for decades (20,000 operations over 20 years), so have unfortunately sacrificed my personal life for my professional one. Although I reduced my days working to 2-3 days/week so I can focus more on #3 below, the days I do work I’m at the office from 10am-midnight, because I’ve just compressed an entire week into a few days. I don’t need any more money & can live like a king if I retired today. I’m just working because I have patients to take care of that no other surgeon in the world can help (I’ve treated the highest prescription in history: -22.00!). So I just need to find a great eye surgeon to take over, so I can regain my personal life that I’ve sacrificed for decades
  3. Because of the above factors, I’m still single & have never been married & don’t have any children, although both have always been primary goals in my life. My parents were happily married for 60 years before my dad died last year. I’ve been almost like a slave to my clinic and to my patients, as well as a very devoted son. It’s really time for me to enjoy the fruits of my labor with a smart, sweet, affectionate, devoted wife, start a family together, & also continue to help others through the Chynn Family Foundation. I prefer European women over American women (they’re typically more cultured & mature) & have visited 75 countries. My last serious girlfriends were a lawyer from Serbia, a lawyer from Poland, and a travel agent from Moscow. So I’m very familiar with Eastern European culture, & would prefer a Eastern European wife

Why I Put My Life At Risk To Bring Medical Supplies Into Ukraine Itself During The War:

I have many friends and colleagues in Ukraine so I wanted to help. I was originally planning on just shipping the aid to Warsaw. Then, I considered accompanying the supplies to Warsaw, and helping refugees there. But my friend Inna, who lives in Lutsk and volunteers with a large aid organization, told me that a lot of aid is not getting through the Polish border, and also some aid that does get through is getting “diverted” (stolen). She convinced me to physically accompany the medical supplies to Lutsk and Lviv, which I did. I spent my own money to buy & transport 5,000 BleedStop emergency coagulation packets, which would cost $100,000 in Ukraine (but are unavailable). Now 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers will have a packet in their kit, so they can stop bleeding from a bullet or shrapnel, so they live until they get proper medical care. I don’t know how many lives this will save, but I do know this: it will save at least 1 life. Which makes all the effort and distress from my trip (and there was a lot) totally worth it!

Please read this article that was published about my humanitarian mission:

https://www.ophthalmologymanagement.com/issues/2022/may-2022/answering-an-urgent-need

How I first got interested in helping Ukraine:

I went on a “marriage tour” a decade ago, didn’t find a wife, but did fall in love with Ukraine & made many friends including other doctors.  I got invited to lecture at many university medical centers all over Ukraine because I’m a famous surgeon in the USA (I’ve been on CNN, Discovery Channel, “Millionaire Matchmaker” & in the New York Times & Wall St Journal). I’ve lectured at the Filatov Institute in Odessa, as well as all of the largest cities in Ukraine

I realized that Ukraine was a fledgling democracy, but poor, and held back by corruption. But most people were good & hardworking. So I became involved in some humanitarian work, declining the fees & hotel & airfare I was offered by the hospitals to lecture, because I knew they needed the money more than me. In 2015 I donated a $10,000 CXL machine to Lviv to treat keratoconus, which is an otherwise blinding disease. This was the first CXL machine in western Ukraine. So I have a long history of helping Ukraine; even before the Orange Revolution

Ukrainians I have brought over in the past to work at Park Avenue LASEK:

Over the past decade I’ve brought several people from Ukraine & sponsored their visas to work:

I brought Sergei over as a secretary & he worked for me for 1 year; he’s still in the USA, obtained his green card, & is working transporting exotic sports cars. I brought over Dr. Natayla Kashenko, an eye surgeon from Kiev who studied under & worked for me for 1 year before moving to Moscow. I brought over Tatiana Dovzhuk, an eye surgeon from Sumy, who studied under & worked for me for 6 years before returning to Ukraine ([email protected]; +420775157328). I’ve also had a Ukrainian webmaster for 4 years ([email protected], +380503116133; he also helped with my humanitarian mission)

I want to hire 1 Ukrainian Secretary::

My clinic needs 1 more secretary. This person MUST be VERY FLUENT in BOTH WRITTEN & SPOKEN English & be single, without children because I can only sponsor adult workers for their visa, not adults with dependent children

We can offer free basic housing in the studio in our office. It’s in the basement so not that nice, but is on Park Avenue so in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in NYC. We would also pay $3000 cash per month, which is enough to cover all living expenses. If you’re frugal, it’s enough to help family back home😀

You must have experience working as a receptionist for a doctor because medical secretaries need special skills (like managing medical situations/difficult patients)

As stated above, you should prioritize my needs over the needs of the patients, because my current secretary does the opposite, which is bad for my quality of life🙄

You must also be in glasses or contacts now and want to get LASEK for free as part of your employment so you can be a “testimonial” for our nervous prospective patients, reassuring & convincing them to get LASEK

Work hours are M-F from 9am – 7pm. No evening or weekend hours required👍

I can hire 1 Ukrainian eye surgeon:

I need to hire another eye surgeon, as stated above. You must must be TOTALLY fluent in English, and have completed your ophthalmology residency training.

You MUST HAVE SURGICAL EXPERIENCE but do not need to have any experience in refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, LASEK, etc.), as most of the 25 Fellows from 15 countries over the past 25 years I’ve accepted as Fellows have not had any. This is why they choose to complete a Fellowship—it’s my job to teach them Refractive Surgery.

Three of our former Fellows have opened up Laser Vision Correction centers of their own after graduation: Dr. Elhobaier in Egypt, Dr. Plana in Argentina, and Dr. Belalcazar from Columbia who got licensed in the US and opened his own center in Miami ([email protected]).

You MUST be able to establish rapport and communicate effectively, and to be confident so that Free Consultations decide to proceed and get LASEK, so you MUST BE GOOD AT “SALES”👌

You do not have to be licensed or pass their exams to work in our clinic, as you will be working under my direct supervision & under my medical license and malpractice insurance. This is why you must be an excellent doctor! You will assist me in the OR on all surgeries

My clinic is 1 of 5 in the USA which is sanctioned by the US government as an official SF Match Fellowship, so you will receive an official Diploma upon submission of 1 research paper to an American peer-reviewed publication

If the doctor is in glasses or contacts, he or she must be willing to get LASEK by Dr. Chynn within a few months of beginning their Fellowship, as we cannot have anyone in our center who does not believe in getting refractive surgery themselves. Dr. Chynn was the 1st eye surgeon in NYC to get LASIK (in his dominant eye) in 1999, and the 1st to get LASEK (in his non-dominant eye) in 2020.  All of our employees have had refractive surgery themselves

The eye surgeon would be paid $4000 per month in cash, which is enough for to rent an apartment within a 1-hour commute of our office. The Fellowship is for 1-2 years, although the Fellow can stay longer (Dr. Dovzhuk for 6 years, got married and got her Green Card). Ideally, you’d take over my practice in 3 years, at which point you’d earn between $200,000-$400,000/yr

Visa and Work Status:

I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A REFUGEE VISA UNDER THE USA PROGRAM “United Ukraine”. It’s only for refugees, so you MUST have been living in Ukraine in Feb 2020 when the war started & fled the country BECAUSE of the war. Unfortunately if you left Ukraine before the war you will NOT quality for this visa. MY WEBMASTER ANDRIY FROM KIEV CAME TO NYC IN JUNE under this visa so he will help you obtain it

Once you’re here all that’s required is for you to obtain a social security number, which takes a few weeks, & then you can legally live & work in the USA for 2 years👍 Before that, I will provide free housing & ALL living expenses & give you some cash for entertainment, etc.

Next Steps for both jobs:

  1. visit www.ParkAvenueLASEK.com
  2. email your resume to: [email protected]

LASEK Fundraiser for Ukraine:

I’m an internationally recognized eye surgeon, & have been invited to lecture to other eye surgeons at the most famous eye hospitals and medical schools around the world, including the Filatov Institute in Ukraine. When I was working at Harvard I helped invent LASEK, which is a more advanced, non-cutting safer form of LASIK. Therefore, it makes sense that I’m the #1 LASEK surgeon in the world, and performed more LASEKs (25,000) than any other surgeon

I invented LASEK so I can safely treat people who don’t qualify for LASIK, including those with:

  1. Thin corneas
  2. Very high prescriptions
  3. Irregular astigmatism
  4. Large pupils and bad night vision
  5. Dry eyes
  6. Keratoconus (CXL is also required here)
  7. Hyperopia or farsightedness
  8. Presbyopia or the need for readers or bifocals
  9. People who box or engage in martial arts
  10. Navy SEALs & Special Forces

Because all these people can’t get LASIK, they fly to my clinic from all over the world so I can perform LASEK on them so they can achieve their dream of life free from glasses & contacts🙏

UNTIL THE WAR IS OVER I WILL DONATE ONE $7000 DIAMOND HD LASEK EACH MONTH FOR USE IN FUNDRAISING, either a raffle or an auction. We have helped charities raise over $100,000 like this in the past

If you organize an auction, the typical amount you’ll raise is about $5000-$7000, because only very altruistic people will pay more in an auction than the retail price

However if you organize a raffle, the typical amount you’ll raise is $10,000-$20,000, because it’s relatively easy to ask 200 people in glasses or contacts to pay $100 for a raffle ticket where the prize is worth $7000😀

We will not take a dollar of the money donated—every penny will go directly to the charity—we won’t even touch the money, the charity will receive the money directly

Please realize that it costs us $1000 to laser 2 eyes, so we aren’t trying to “promote our business”, we’re just being both generous & smart & leveraging our expertise!

Hopefully the war stops soon or a Russian oligarch decides he’s lost enough money and deposes Putin. But if it lasts until December, our goal is to raise $7000×6=$42,000 for Ukraine!

Individuals can also say they want to support Ukraine and we will donate 100% of profits (= what they pay -$1000) to the Ukrainian charity of their choice, So the person would pay what we would normally collect for their surgery, but to the charity–not to us😇

Doing surgery for free costs Dr Chynn $1000 i lost hard cash for expenses, so please don’t think he’s trying to “promote his business.” He wants to retire, and no longer has to work for a living; in America his is wealthy; in Ukraine he would be almost an oligarch. But he’s not Ukrainian, so feels the Ukrainian community be helping their own relatives & countrymen, not him alone

Anyone interested should call 212-741-8628, Instagram DM @ParkAvenueLASEK, or email [email protected] with your prescription & any questions

Third “open position” for wife🥰🙏:

My father, a neuroradiologist, died last year. My mother is in a nursing home (she was “involuntarily committed” by my evil sister because she’s got early dementia😨). Mom tells me every day “the only thing I want is to see you happily married with a child before I die.” So this is what caused me to finally prioritize my personal life

I would like to marry a girl who is:

  1. between the ages of 25-34
  2. 5’5”/105lb – 5’9”/115lb
  3. has a university degree
  4. has or had a professional job in the same field they studied at university (eg studied accounting & worked as an accountant, not manicurist or personal trainer)
  5. speaks English
  6. doesn’t have kids, and wants kids soon
  7. is sweet, warm, affectionate, loyal, honest, hardworking, confident but not entitled or conceited, faithful, spiritual, not materialistic—all traits that I have
  8. has a healthy lifestyle, eats healthy, likes sports & going to the gym, no smoking (or only rare), no drugs, only light alcohol intake—like me
  9. considerate, courteous, kind, altruistic, not selfish, reasonable, rational, good communication skills, open, friendly, outgoing, good relationship skills (compromise), from a good family with good values—also like myself
  10. Want to move to NYC

This girl does NOT have to be Ukrainian, because if she’s not, I can sponsor a FIANCÉ VISA which will be automatically issued, because I’ve never done this before. It takes a few months to receive & is only valid for 3 months, so we’d need to get married by then or you’d have to leave the USA. This is the basis of the TV show “90 day Fiancee”😂 Now that I’m older, I know I can decide in 3 months of living together in NYC if we’re compatible.

I’m wealthy enough that we could buy a second home in her country, & we could fly to visit her friends & relatives back home every 2-3 months so she wouldn’t be homesick. Plus my office & home in Manhattan are both only a 10-minute walk from “Little Ukraine” where thousands of Ukrainians live, & the NY area has 1 million Russian speakers from all former Soviet states👌

What do I have to offer? Well, I’ve been told that I’m very interesting & talented, with many diverse interests & always want to do my best & accomplish the most. So if you like a Type A, “alpha”, somewhat dominant man (after all, I’m a surgeon), you’ll like me. If you prefer a more “laid back” personality, perhaps not

For example, I like running, so ran the NY Marathon (in 3:33). I enjoy cycling, so rode my bike from Atlanta to Georgia by myself (2000 km in 14 days) & followed the Tour de France up Mt Ventoux, which is rated “beyond category”. I love to hike, so hiked 2000 km of the Appalachian Trail (not at once) & have climbed Mt Kilimanjaro & reached Everest Base Camp.

I’ve been blessed with a strong intellect, & have attended Harvard, graduated from Columbia Medical School, obtained my MBA as well as my MD, scored in the 99th percentile on the GMAT exam, & was accepted into MENSA, which is an organization that certifies you’re a “genius” with an IQ over 150. I have worked very hard to achieve all this, which is another reason I don’t like lazy people, including gorgeous women who rely on their beauty to be spoiled by rich men,, rather than their minds to accomplish something in life. It also means if you’re not somewhat intellectual & don’t like to read, we might not be that compatible, unfortunately

I enjoy things like going to museums, attending gallery openings, going to the theater & ballet, watching runway shows at NY Fashion Week, attending concerts (classical, jazz & rock) & trying top restaurants & bars (once my parents & I used the royalty check from a book of Chinese proverbs I wrote with my father on 1 dinner at Tour D’Argent, the oldest, most famous restaurant in the world, overlooking Notre Dame, where just the food (my parents don’t drink) was $1,000!)

I don’t love going to clubs, so only do that quarterly. Once I had a girlfriend from Miscow who loved clubbing, so we used to go often as a favor to her. But she also liked to get drunk, smoke cigarettes and marijuana & use cocaine, none of which I like. So even though we were in love, & she was model-pretty, & she wanted to get married, I broke up with her, because I didn’t think she would be the best role model or mom for our children

One difficulty I’ve had in finding my soulmate for life (my parents were married for 60 years & were both virgins when they met so only had one lover their entire lives) is I seem to want contradictory things in a woman. Physically, I’m attracted to tall, skinny, model-looking women, & I really like it when my girlfriend dresses super-sexy, in short skirts & very high heels when we go out, so she gets a lot of attention, & I feel proud to be her man. On the positive side, I’m also not jealous at all because I’m very confident (many men get nervous if the girl gets “too much” attention). However, very beautiful women are also vain, superficial, selfish & materialistic—all qualities that I really dislike

So I’m seeking a woman who’s what I call “accidentally beautiful”, meaning she’s very pretty, but her beauty is not her primary identity. Maybe she was an “ugly duckling” or “late bloomer” so she became beautiful after her self identity was formed. Maybe her parents emphasized that “beauty is only skin-deep”. Maybe she wants very much to accomplish something in her life. I’ve had serious girlfriends like this, & it’s been wonderful. Unfortunately, I wasn’t ready to get married & have children then, & since I’ve been ready, I haven’t found a woman like this

After slaving away and performing 25,000 operations, I’m very secure financially. For example, I own 1 of only 2 townhouses on Cornelia Street, where Taylor Swift rented the other one (for $40,000 per month) & wrote a song about our block (she’s nice). I have a weekend home near NYC on a private lake near a ski area. I’m buying a 3rd home, a luxury apartment in Miami on the beach for $2.5 million. I just sold my Lamborgini and bought a faster, less practical car😂 I travel abroad for 1 week per month for pleasure, have been to 75 countries, & want to visit 100

However, please be very clear that I dislike materialistic people. There’s a huge difference between working hard to help others & make a positive impact in life, & as a side benefit accumulating wealth, as I have done, versus working hard primarily to make money & have a lavish lifestyle, which I abhor. In my daily life, I’m very simple, not flashy, & mostly like going to the gym, playing tennis & cycling, going to dinner with friends, & playing with my dog, Tolstoy, whom I love very much🥰

You should be very altruistic, & have a sincere desire to help others—not just want to marry an American millionaire & move to NYC & fly around the world. I actually broke up with a very pretty Polish lawyer partially because she wanted to own 10 Chanel bags worth $50,000, which is a bit excessive. I’d like to open an orphanage or dog shelter in Ukraine, & go there often to help as a medical volunteer, even if that means flying into Poland & walking across the border to save days sitting in a car, like I did recently. So if you, would like to do this, we’d be a great match, & could be very happy together, with a wonderful family of our own, yes enjoying life, but also belong make this world a better place🙏

If you do not meet these criteria for secretary , doctor or wife, but know someone who does, please refer them by emailing them & cc’ing [email protected] or by creating a WhatsApp group with the person you’re referring & Dr Chynn (+12126914221) & you will receive the following “reward” if that person comes to NYC:

  1. $1000 if you find us a secretary
  2. $2000 if you find us an eye surgeon
  3. $10,000 if you find a wife for Dr Chynn AND I WILL ALSO SPONSOR YOUR U4U VISA🙏🥰

Please do not contact me if you don’t meet one of the above categories of eye doctor, medical receptionist or wife. Although I am wealthy, there are millions of displaced Ukrainians, & I can’t help random families, even if your stories & hardships are real

The reason is that as a U4U sponsor, if you can’t find employment, & “exaggerated” your financial resources, I’m obligated to support your family. Also, if you overstay your visa, I won’t be allowed to sponsor other immigrants. Every year for the past 20 years I’ve sponsored visas for eye doctors from many different countries to come to NYC to work & study under me. Also this year I’d like to find a great woman in Eastern Europe (doesn’t have to be Ukraine) & apply for a “fiancé visa” for her. So I certainly can’t risk having my ability to sponsor doctors & my wife in the future for some Ukrainian family I don’t know—sorry!🙏

Conclusion;

Thanks for helping Dr. Chynn help bring a few displaced or unemployed Ukrainians to NYC, USA, so they have a safe, secure place to live, a good job, and can start building for their future.
