LASEK for Rx’s too high for LASIK

The Question:

Dear Dr,

My son, 26 years old, has -12.75 and -10.75 power. We consulted with a Lasik center in NY and they said he cannot be treated with Lasik due to high power. I wanted to get your advice if it is possible and have you done similar power cases successfully ? We don’t want ICL as it is more invasive and challenging to go for it again in future if power changes.

Appreciate your advice to guide me to make the right decision.

Regards

Sridhar

Sridhar,

I’m glad you’ve done your research & understand ICL is much more invasive and dangerous (& expensive) than LASEK

I used to do CLE which is like ICL 25 years ago, but stopped after some patients had a retinal detachment & lost vision 😐

I’m safely & successfully LASEKing someone with your son’s Rx OR WORSE EVERY WEEK👌

Please call my office to set up your free consultation & come in with him

When you do we will buddy him up w a similar patient he can talk to. NO OTHER CENTER IN THE USA PROVIDES THIS SERVICE

Thanks & see you both soon👍
